One of the guys who I work with will get forced on call next week, it happens. So, he's looking for someone to take some for him because it's his "Wifes Anniversary". He pulls this a lot so I started keeping track of his excuses. His wife is a lucky woman, so far she's had 4 anniversaries for the year with 5 more months remaining.

Why  would you even bother to lie? I could care less if you wanted to go to the bar, casino or reseed your lawn one seed at a time, but lying about why you don't want to work it pisses everyone off, especially if you're found out.

I think with so many anniversaries, he needs to work it because she probably expects some nice gifts with the OT.
