Movie scared the crap out of me when it first came out.

The whole "We might be nuked anytime" thing was way too true for all of us that grew up in the Cold War.  

But it was a great film.

They had a great demonstration of the old school "pulse" telephone dialing when Matthew Broderick unscrewed the mouthpiece of a pay phone and tapped out the number he was dialing.

  That movie helped to create paranoia which nearly killed
the white hat hacking community.   Hackers built the first personal
computers in the country, a fact the media never talks about
when they use the buzzword "hacker".
