You know, I was wondering the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. It seems, though, that the situation has become a non-starter. With my DVR system from Everest (cable/InterToobs provider) I now have PIP on my non-PIP TV. I would imagine, though, that most "modern" TVs have the feature anyway.
