since my post, there has been about 15 more. i hear one approach in the distance than it dissapears. 2 - 3 minutes of silence and then another one. this is weird

Flight patterns sometimes change because of maintenance or weather.

Apollo, what are the planes doing? Are they at full throttle or not? Is the gear down or up? Are the flaps deployed?
Did a cold front just blow through, and the wind is now coming from the other direction than usual (probably north)? The pattern reverses when the wind changes, because the planes have to land and take off into the wind, as much as possible. |
