Watching Discovery Channel's "Boneyard: Battlefield" show and the segment where they're testing various weapons and showing "info" about them sure is interestin'!

Shows an M2 and says
 "50 cal- 52,00 PSI- 3,050 ft/second"  
sounds ok....

Shows M9 and says:
  9mm- 35,000 PSI - 12,050 ft/second"  
Ummm... huh?

shows M249 (i think... odd angle) and says
  "M16 - 52,000 PSI - 27,050 ft/second"
WHAT?!!??!?!?!?


So..... 5.56 does Mach 28 you say? Maybe when fired from the space shuttles door gun.....



ETA: as they fire into water tank "The water not only stops the bullets, it canMANGLE them..." Well, HO-LEE Shit batman! Bullets fragment! Fuck me running!
