I realize there has been a change. But it bugs me that it shows I registered with AR15.com in Jan 2001. I was registered on the old site long before that. I think for the benefit of us old timers you need to figure a way to show the date we originally registered with AR15.com. I mean, geez, I gave you guys my free money for signing up with Paypal when they started just to help out the site (among other financial contributions).

I niether want nor expect recognition for any aid given but somehow I feel jilted not having my actual register date showing. I remember when you could read a whole days worth of posts in a couple hours - in all the forums!

Was a good price too.  3 for $800.00.

Damn it!  THIS SUCKS!  Now LordTrader won't know when his 3000th post is!

This is all an evil plot by GoatBoy to prevent good porn from being posted!

Yeah, something like that anyway.

January 2001, that's funny

BTW, this is the first of your "improvements" I don't like, not one bit.[:(!]

Goaty talks about the changes here.  www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=60124

The post count tells us how active is a user.  The Registered date means nothing because someone could have registered the first day and been AWOL since.

Change it BACK.

I agree.  Change it back.  The registered date means nothing.  The post count means how much a user is active or not.

The post count is a great tool for the Equipment Exchange. It lets me know how active a seller is on the boards. I agree with the rest.

I like ye olde way better.

So, Mighty Goat, Beghillied purveyor of death from afar, Wise and all knowing Keeper of the site, and Payer of the electric bills for the server that maintains this phantasmagorical image of reality in the nether world of the Internet:

WTF IS THE PROBLEM?

Just curious[;D]

I've been around here since 1999 and this is always a reoccuring theme. I find it funny that people equate their post count to penis size. If you screw up selling someone products and services, you'll definitely be sorry you did it by the response here no matter how many posts you have.

Really??? Okay if you were here that long, name the original moderators of the GD. Who was the arch enemy of Curio Bob? Who was the moderator that db69 and I picked on because of his immaturity and stupidity??

OK.  Let me take a guess:

Arch enemy of Curio Bob is Drew?
Moderator is AntiUssa?
Link Posted: 10/12/2001 9:56:53 AM EDT
[#25]
Nope!
Nope! Anti and I did get into a couple of spat but this moderator in question was advocating selling hi-cap mags to Kali.

BTW, questions are only for TinyTim since he is so quick to generalize most of the members here.

"I've been around here since 1999"

Only 1999?

Newby cruit.

I do agree with you how ever.

As I put it on another thread related to this topic;

1,000,000 X 0 still = 0.

Also you can delete post and still maintain the credit for the post and not take up band width or my time reading, nay, wading through usless drivel.

P10K!!!

I think Goat guy was worried about someone with ten thousand posts.  If this happened the whole world would be back in the stone age!!  The server would crash!  SHTF big time!! terror panic!!   [;)]

FWIW:  This was my idea!

It's purpose was to halt the stupid posts, such as, "On my 3000th post, I'm going to post a manuscript about the survival of grey bats, when kept locked in a deep freezer for an undetermined length of time..."

The date you regd, and your length of membership means MUCH more to us, than how many posts you made as your first day as a member.

One new woman racked up close to 70 posts in one nigyt, while an oldtimer quit because of the bullshit and posting games, but was ridicuyled for only having 64 posts!  Sorry, but "Silverstrand Pat" has been around since the inception of the boards...  Back in the days when Drew and I fought like cats and dogs.

And the MOD in question was the kid on the magazine forums, although I can't recall his name offhand -- That episode took place in the golden days of "Goderating"!  [:D]

Yea, I agree.  I was an old timer over at the other site with well beyoned 1000 posts.  But here I am just a rookie.
