I saw a combination cable lock/ cleaning pull-through.  It inserting into the chamber and had a little pad lock at the muzzle or ...viola....you can screw a bore brush in place.  Just the thing every gun owner that can't afford both a lock and a cleaning rod!!!!!!

Front and rear sights that went on the SIDE of a Glock's slide so that the person firing it could shoot it like those thugs in gangster rap videos and still use the sights.

The ad, which is somewhere on the Internet, is indeed a joke, or more properly a gun ad parody called the HoMeBoY NyTeSyTe, or some such. Pretty funny as I recall. Some politicians in DC or Chicago took it seriously and denounced it, saying it would encourage violence, until somebody pointed out that it was a joke. The pols responded with a giant "D'OH!".....

If somebody has the ad archived, please post it. Word!

Ya, a joke, that's exactly what it is.

OTOH, Why would you want a barrel shroud on a Mini-14?

Floter, I don't know what crappy AR you have but every Ar I've ever shot has been a great gun.

Now back to topic:

A Muzzle Brake on a .22 Rifle.

A KAC Silencer on a .22 Rifle.

Hundreds of Dollars worth of alterations to a $179 SKS.

Barrel Extensions.

Faux Flash Supressors. Look Cool, but are useless.

Scopes for AKs, ARs, etc.

Armscor MAK-22s. They are cheaper than regular AKs, but run about the same as a MISR-10. Considering they come with 10 Rounders, I'd rather have a MSIR for the price.

MISR Single Stack Mags.

Kits to convert a perfectly good 30 Rounder to a PC 10 Rounder.

Any Non Semi-Auto. shotgun over $300.

Shotgun attachment fro AR-15. Not for usefullness, but for charging $2000 for a $200 Shotgun with the stock removed and barrel cut to 10".

12 Gauge Bird Bombs. They were meant to be 37mm. Don't put them in shotguns.

Less than lethal ammunition.

A trigger lock.  What criminal is going to wait on you to go get your keys to unlock it?  "Excuse me mister scary guy crawling through my window, I have to go find my keys so I can unlock my trigger lock so I can shoot you. Would you mind waiting in the den?"

Sniper stock for a SKS. Why the hell would someone buy that?

Also, the Ladder Sight on my SKS goes from 1 to 10. If the 1 means 100 Meters, then 10 means 1000 Meters, WTF ? That is well over 1/2 mile. (3333 Feet) or .63 Miles. I'll never be taking that shot with an SKS, much less with a ladder sight.

heres mine:

1. TAC-Triggers
2. AUTO-BURST trigger device
3. Hellfire
4. putting a bipod on any intermediate powered  rifle (unless its just a clip on to help  zero)
5. cheap $5-7 dollar 1911 mags for a $600+ pistol
6. Colt's ribbed grip safty for Colt competition 1911's
7. anything other than a Kobra, HUD or red dot sight on a rifle with a barrel shorter than 20"
8. clip on night sights for com-block rifles.
9. .22 caliber conversions for any firearm. its cheaper to just simply buy a .22 firearm.
10. engravings or gold plating, unless its an actual gift with meaning behind it.
11. folding stocks for sks. bought one a long time ago, what a POS!
12. attachments for minimaglights. in my personal experience with minimaglights, they burn out to quickly. it's also hard to find bulbs for them. only buy gun lights that are designed for firearms.
13. extended slide stop for 1911 without extended mag release. if you dont have a long thumb or an extended mag release, you'll still have to cant the pistol a bit to hit both anyway.
14. fake anything on a weapon. though i do like my non-collapseable stock on my post-ban ar15. at the time i could not find an a1 stock at a decent price. the non-collapsable was cheaper and new, not to mention the same length.

I have some old gun magazines from the 70s and 80s.  One of the ads is a plastic tube that catches brass from a pistol.  Considering the tube is long as a human arm.  However, I would say a pinned (non)folding stock for a SKS is a bad accesory.

Intersting list.

I use bipods for prone firing, which can be done with any rifle low, intermediate, or hi-power. Though I'd agree with most the other stuff. I would add GAT triggers to that group. come on like I'm gonna spin a knob to shoot something. BTW, what is wrong with the TAC. I was thinking about buying one to try. I tried bump firing but only managed to put the bullets in the wrong target. Is a TAC innacurate ?

All of that SOPMOD M4 crap added to what used to be a lightweight, functional carbine.

Nothing like taking a 5.5lb carbine and turning it into a 10 lb "tactical" jukebox.
