I've seen alot of threads here about how many post someone has. My question is why do people care about their # of post? Does a higher # of posts make you more intelligent? I doubt it. Maybe more informed. This is a very cool site, but I certainly don't go out of my way to increase my # of posts. Someone who does really needs to get a life. [;D]

I can't speak for others, but I don't consider myself automatically better than [i]anyone[/i] by virtue of number of posts.
Maybe the best way to look at it is number of posts reflect the amount of posting, not necessarily [i]quality[/i].

Good statement RAF. I guess what I'm talking about is these topics that say "Increase your post count here" or "Hey, this is my 400th post, wohoo". Who gives a crapp. I like AR15.com alot, but I've never worried about my # of posts. If the mods dicided to wipe out everyone's numbers and you had to start all over, it wouldn't bother me a bit. Schnacke, I'm happy for you that your post #s matter in your weird little world. If your post was being sarcastic, then please accept my appology in advance.

Post counts help spot trolls when they're new. A more useful feature might be a 'member since' listing.

Kinda an ironic topic...

Just to ease some of the whole "post count" garbage posts, we'll be removing the post counts from the topics (keeping them in the user profiles and still continuing to track them) and modifying the data which we display.

We're also going to DITCH the junior member level and possibly rename the other "titles" assigned by the system and how they are assigned.

Just a little FYI I thought I'd drop in...

Oh, and I have "HUGE AMERICAN PENIS"... I mean... a rather large post count!
