That's what I was thinking. I don't know a single person, ever, who actually BOUGHT photoshop. I mean, GIMP is cool and all, but it's like getting a free cow when you have the keys to the dairy anyway. Why bother?

Academic copy, isn't it? To amend the post above, I do know some educators that have a legitimate copy....but they're not NORMAL people.

No, I actually asked the tech guys to buy me a personal copy and charge it to my account.

(Because I primarily use a laptop and take it off-site, they weren't sure about how it might work with a general site-license. Or some tech gobbledygook like that

I see that you used Paint Shop Pro 5. I use that too. Is there a book or online tutorial I could get to improve my skills? Please. Please.

I use another program called ACDSee32. It.s only a picture viewer but is very handy for storing, viewing and rearranging pictures. I use it a great deal. I got it free. It's old, but effective. with a lot of nice features.

There are probably any number of programs that can do what I use it for - because all I do with it is to color-correct some of my underwater photography shots.

I mentioned a problem I was having with this on arfcom years ago, and a friendly arfcommer sent me a (unlicensed) copy to try out. Once I realized that it could quite easily do what I wanted, I went ahead and got a licensed copy.

So there might be cheaper packages, but I hate having to learn new stuff.

This is the last one. I hope ya'll have enjoyed them. One of the nice things about selling hot tubs is that you have a lot of free time to play around with Photoshop.
