I've been offered a trade for one of my two HK94s that I have (one of the DOJ guns).

The trade is a 900 series green Aug with the standard optic and 20" barrel. I already have a A2 Aug that I don't shoot because it's NIB --

Pros or cons on the trade? The 94 is 9mm, which is a plus because it's cheap to shoot, and hopefully one day could be converted into a MP5 or MP5SD. On the other hand, I do enjoy shooting the Aug a lot, it's very comfortable and ergonomic and I have a ton of accessories for it including a 9mm kit.

Should I make the trade?

I would keep the HK.

More desirable imo.

Do the trade. HKs are overrated. Augs are more modular and have a higher CDI factor.

Since you don't shoot your Aug, and don't want to shoot it, I would trade one of the 2 HK's, which it sounds like you shoot, so you could have both, and shoot both. Also, since you have a 9mm kit for the Aug, your "9mm is cheaper with the HK" argument just went out the window.

Steyr_Aug is a nice guy and all, but I'm not sure he did that tile work himself - so I'd keep the HK.

Didn't I read in one of Styer_AUG's post that many of the AUGs have been "refinished" after having barrels/internals shot to shit?

Keep the HK and wait for a domestic AUG.

I think you mean the DOJ HK94's...other way 'round.

ETA Trade an HK94 for an AUG? Especially since you already have the 9mm kit for it...go for it.

An AUG is worth X by itself, but almost 2X with the 9mm kit as well.

Good choice...I was going to say "hey, you've got two HK94s", then I realized that if you traded...you'd have two AUGs.

Oh well, either way, you suck.
