A friend of mine bought Operation Flashpoint the other day, and he let me make a copy of it. Well, even though the CD copied, every time I try to play, it says "please insert correct CD" or some crap like that. Is there any program out there can can make a copied CD work? Please oh please let there be. This has to be the most badass game ever, and I can't afford to buy it right now!

Try CloneCD It copies a disk exactly, including any errors put in as copy protection. But you wouldn't want to copy it because that would be illegal. right?

If this is a PS1 game, copied games will not work in an "unmodified" Playstation unit.

There are a lot of very good copy software out there that you could download for free but without a modchip in your PS1, it will not work.

brouhaha: I will send you some special programs that someone gave me, that should do the job. I had similar problems and used the program and it worked perfectly. Check your email in a few.

brouhaha, I have the game and it is lots of fun (although the vehicle controls just totally suck).

Unfortunately, it apparently has a type of copy protection called FADE that degrades the game each time you play it. Then you start getting random crashes, hangs, etc. I know someone who had copied it and he seemed to think that weapon accuracy was affected as well.

So if you do it and this happens, don't get too freaked out. Just save up the $40 and buy the game, it rocks.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to. I've been looking at some forums called [url]www.clone.cd[/url] and found out some interesting info. Not all burners will be able to write to a disk in the way that copy-protection for OF does. And apparantly mine won't. OF has some protection on it called SafeDisk2. There are programs that will defeat it, but you have to have the right kind of burner. I think I read that the Plextor drive will do it. So, it'll just be cheaper to buy the thing when I get the cash.
