It all depends.

The best beer I have ever had was free and damn cold. Now free warm beer just doesn't do the trick.

No better beer than from a bottle. I hate it when I'm at a restaurant and I ask for a bottle of Bud without the glass, and they still bring me the glass.

Michael Jackson would disagree heartily, but the best way to serve beer IMO is to decant bottled (or draft) homebrew into a mug freshly pulled from the freezer.
One exception would be for nitrogenated stouts such as Guinness which develop proper head through a special draft tap using nitrogen gas mix only. |
