yeah, mine is a p99 9mm, now you wont believe what happened to me.
ok, what i carry every day is a glock 17, so i only shoot my walther when i feel like holding a "good looking pistol in my hands"...i was REALLY happy with it (p99), it is small, good looking, has a very nice grip, reliable, accured as hell, good capacity etc etc.....here's the weird thing: the other day while checking its bore to see if it was clean i found a really nasty rust spot, and i mean REALLY NASTY, on the chamber. :(((((
went opening my hoppes cleaning kit, brushed it with a metal brush and took out the rust only to see the the chamber/chromelinning (i don't know if they are chromelined, i recon they are) was screwed :(((((((((((. I keep shooting it tho, does not seem to have affected it even when i can actually see is permanently damaged.
That never happened to my before in my whole life with any of my guns, and just for the record i keep my guns very clean and the gun was kept in a DRY place. thought you should now.
