Yes it is my first AR-15 that I have  bought from my boss who has two.  For $500 bucks and some free farm labor I have purchased a pre-ban Colt 20" H-BAR yaaaa hooooooooo.  My boss has bought a M1A from Springfield and decided all he needed was his 16".
