I have a USP Compact .45.....and I absolutely love it. Every bit as good as any Glock, SIG, or Walther, and I own all of the above.

Reliability and durability are second to none. Accuracy, from this compact .45 is fantastic.

Any decent gun shop should carry them. Where do you live?

They are excellent guns.  Very reliable, built like a rock, and extremely accurate.  I bought one and was going to let my wife have it but its to big for her hands.  If you're interested its chambered in .40, has stainless slide, 1 10rnd mag, and new Fobus 360 Roto Holster.  Contact me off the list [email protected]

M4 is right on the money. I have a fullsize and compact in .45 and they are my favorites. I went through many others (glock,1911's,rugers etc..) these are the creme of the crop.
As for where to get one, I shopped around for several weeks before I found the best price. so persistance pays.

Got one in 9mm, kick and muzzle flip is a little more than the full size, but it's a joy to shoot.

Paid $550 for mine ANIB private sale. $600 would be a good deal for you, $650 new is acceptable with the standard 2 mags, case and operation booklet/warranty card

It's for LE only? No wonder their Beta-C mags are only $202.

I carry the Compact USP in 40 caliber with a stainless steel slide.  It has never failed me or malfunctioned.  It's a breeze to clean up after shooting too.

You wont regret getting one.

SkaerE - I have .45F in HE and a .45C in SS.

Today in the shop the prices were as follows:

.45F in HE - $730.00
.45C in HE - $750.00
.45C in SS - $780.00

I also have PT night sights. I have Trijicons on my full size  - get Trijicons. (@ $100.00)

I carry and compete with them - love them. Just glad I don't have to buy them again - way too expensive.

I have a USP compact in .40.  My only complaint is the lack of pre-ban mags (they weren't manufactured until after 94).  They are also a little wider (especially .45) than the typicaly pistol advertised as "compact".

I also own the HK USP.45C. Wonderful gun! I have put several thousand rounds through mine with no problems whatsoever. I prefer the HE finish to the stainless.

Th only think I dont like about my HK USP c45, is that I cant detail strip and clean the slide without removing the roll pins.  you cant get to the firing pin or remove the extractor claw without doing so.

I have both a fullsize 45 and a 40C. They are by far my favorites. They are very reliable and very sweet shooting. For comparison sake I personally own an early Taurus 92, a CZ75, & B. Buckmark, and used to have a Kimber. I have shot Glocks, rugers, and Sigs. I would not trade the USP for anything out there.

I don't have the compact, but I have a full size USP 40.  Very accurate , extremely reliable, and easy to clean.  I want another in the compact version.  I really like the stainless.

Got a USPc in 9mm, bought it NIB with four HK 13 round magazines. I have the HE finish and love it.

It's an accurate, reliable design and like said before a breeze to maintain.

really?  i thought there were no preban mags since it came out after '94

am i confused or is some other pistol i am thinking about?

can you get +1 or 2 extenders for the 45 mags?
since they have the grip extensions anyways...

I have gotten to play with my friends since he bought the compact while I bought the full size.  It shoots like an HK pistol should.  Little more recoil than fullsize, but nothing noticeably different.
Get one,

I had a USPC40 and I was pretty disappointed with the trigger. It was really rough, almost as bad as my Taurus PT140, that has since been traded. I traded my HK for a Kimber Pro Carry and I am quite happy.
