Noticed a lot of military helicopters flying around, so I figured they were all goin to the local airport here in Stockton CA.

They were spread out everywhere and takin off and landing. This is all new. Never had so many before Sept. 11th.

This was just put there as well, they were still working on it.

The airport is pretty small, little charter flights, but this military presence is new and they setup about a mile from the runway.

Nice guy, asked if I could take some pictures and he said it was cool. I then asked if I could get a picture of him, he grinned and said "oh alright" and struck a pose, lol

Ulysse, those are CH-47s. Quick way to tell: the 46s only have one landing gear wheel in the front.

There have been a bunch of Blackhawks, Apaches and Chinooks flying around Savannah lately.  Of course, we have Hunter Army Airfield, but the activity has greatly increased.  Just waiting for the C5s, C141s, and C17s to start flying in:

A Blackhawk:

These Apaches are patroling the perimiter of Hunter Army Airfield.  Since 9-11, there has been a pair in the air over the base at all times.
