I don't know where this is, but my guess would be some where in Asia based on some of the hair brained stuff I have seen there.

How much would it take for you to operate that!

There's the video of the guy using his tractor to knock down a old grain elevator and it falls on him

A few well placed bricks of TANNERITE would bring it down a LOT faster!

It looks like the shovel is being supported by the crane, could it be possible that the legs are fit just like the crawler treads would be?

I think I figured it out.  The crane supports the weight until the guy in the excavator needs to rotate his arm, then it lowers it enough for those beams to touch allowing the arm to rotate instead of just the bottom of the crane?

Seems to be working, I'm sure someone ran the numbers to see what was cheaper.

Ok, the crane sets that thing up there, guy excavates on the areas around the 3 legs.  Crane picks up the shovel, rotates it about 60* and sets it back down, then it knocks out the area to the sides of the legs until it is below its elevation, it gets picked up, rotated a bit, set back down etc until the stack is destroyed.

That's a huge smokestack, I'd like to know the details on it.

Controlled demolition probably doesn't work as well on a structure that is all load bearing material.

It looks like they are trying to keep the debris inside the chimney?

If so, pretty clever.
