Firearms Training Schools in Florida?

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Firearms Training Schools in Florida?

Mom, wants to get some training in the safe handling and use of firearms. She is in the New Port Ritchy area (20 miles north of Tampa). Does anybody know of a good school in the area? A woman instructor would be a big plus. Thanks.

Frank There is one in Tampa that I read about in the paper today. They were talking about the increase in women coming to the class, and they interviewed several who were very happy with the training they received. Sorry, I left the paper at work but I am fairly sure its the big one on Dale Mabry Highway.

While not actually located in Florida, this place offers classes there. A friend took one of their classes and had positive things to say.

Quite a few instructors travel when (or if) they aren't teaching at the big places.
I'm still fond of Thunder Ranch and depending on where in Fl you are, it isn't far. About 10hrs from Pensacola. Worth it.
They offer Women Only classes.
