I remember that about one year ago there was an incident where some crazy tried to go on a campus shooting spree and he was stopped by two guys almost immediately (shooter did get one or two unfortunately), one of which had a CCW and one of which was an off duty police officer.

The details are a little hazy.  Want to use this example to support my arguments.  Anyone remember any details?
