Hello Fellow AR15ers!
Recently a friend of mine decided he too wanted an AR15 after shooting a 16" M4gery this weekend. A successfuly converted anti now wants his to be a 20" flat-top, but like me, he's on a REALLY restricted budget. He also wants the A3 Removable Carry-Handle.
My questions regarding Model 1 Sales, Inc:
1.) How reliable are their kits?
2.) Are they made of quality durable parts/materials?
3.) How accurate are their 20" kit rifle uppers?
4.) Do their "KITS" contain ALL of the parts required to finish a stripped lower (trigger ass'y, hammer, bolt carrier, internals, etc...)?
5.) Are they considered "Frankengun Crap Kits?" Basically are they good in general?
Need info on these ASAP. His upper is ordered from Olympic Arms already, and now we just need to order the kit/parts to customize it.
What's the best place to buy the A3 removable carry-handle?
Bushmaster = $89.00 + Shipping
Castle Arms = $95.00 + Shipping
What are some other good places? Are there better prices?
I'm dying to know. If these Model 1 Sales kits are better than the one's I've seen from Olympic Arms in the past, I think I may just buy more in the future.
My main concerns (in order):
1.) Accuracy (shooting about 50-400 yards)
2.) Reliability (I don't want too many FTF's, stovepiping, jams, breaking parts, etc)
3.) Quality (Don't want parts to break after a few 1000 rds or so)
4.) What is the reputation of these kits with other shooters out here???
Thank you SO MUCH for your help. I hope to have a good kit ordered by the end of the week, and am searching around for more info...
