Here a pic of the relocated crossbolt hole and epoxy putty filled previous location. Fortunately I didn't have to move it as far forward as I thought and it didn't go into the handhold groove on the opposite side.

This is a view of the bottom of the stock. The joint where the 2 halves of the stock was glued together was very uneven and in some spots a gap was present. I filed and smoothed down along the entire seam. Notice that the area to the rear of the trigger guard had to be filled in.

Total for all of this stage: 4 hours. Total hours so far 10.5 hours.
