AFARR. Yes we do consult with other mods. As a matter of fact Mods can't lock a members account. Therefore they must request that a staff member lock it. The few times I've been asked to lock an account a link to the thread or threads in question have been included. We have had discussions where the locking of a thread or account has be questioned by another mod or staff and subsequently unlocked. It is a fine line to walk between infringing on someone's rights and making sure the house rules are followed. As the conduct code says..it's a judgement call. If we all used the same judgement or had the same opinions..life would be pretty boring.
Thread locking seems to go in cycles. The forums will be quiet for quite a while then 1 or 2 people start threads to stir up trouble and it spreads like crazy.
Then you get the mod/nazi/power hungry/out of control/personal vendetta/narrow minded/thought police/immature/etc/etc threads that follow the locking of the other threads. Must be the full moon that does it.
