I sold a carbine to a C&R holder and he says he needs my driver's license number for his book. Is this true?
My FFL doesn't need anything but name and address when he receives firearms for me.

He's in Florida, BTW.

Legally, he doesn't NEED it for his bound book - but if he WANTS it (because he is anal retentive), then that's his perogative, and could obviously be a deal-breaker if you don't want to provide it.

I've never given any info when selling to a dealer of any kind.  Buying from a dealer is different.

Well, he already has it and just sent me an email. The transaction is done.

I just don't like the idea of giving out my info if I don't have to, you know?
