Where the hell is the refresh button? And why do I not hear sound effects when entering commands?

Blue Arrows for refresh, or crtl+r.  And the sounds are gone because you don't need them.  You have upgraded to a real browser.

Also, crtl+t for a new tab, and crtl+b for bookmarks.

I could have sworn there was no(obvious as hell) blue refresh arrow earlier. But I think the sound effects were useful. Sometimes when your puter is acting funny and has delayed response time, the sound effects would let you know immediately.

Perhaps another stupid question, but what does refreshing the cache do, exactly?

I am finding several probs with FF. Why does the back arrow often not work. If I "X" out of the screen(because I dont have the option of clicking the green "back" arrow), it takes me out of FF and back to my desktop. WTF?

Are you closing the browser or the individual tab? I have never encountered that problem in either 1.5.0 (which I use on this particular computer) or the 2.0 release. There are individual tab close buttons and the overall browser quit button.

As for the back arrow not often working, if you're switching between tabs each keeps its own history of past webpages.

I was just about to post a different question and saw this thread.

firefox just updated, and now the URL bar suddenly "remembers" all the sites I have visited and tries to "help" me remember when I type in a URL.

I find this annoying as hell and can't figure out how to turn the auto complete off.  Any help?

Also, the drop down list of urls used to refresh after three days, now they are permanent.  I type poorly, and about 1/3 of the urls endered are screwey, and now they won't go a way.

Tools>Options>Privacy> UNCHECK "Remember what I entered in forms and the search bar"

Drop down list - highlight what you don't want and mash the delete button.

It's all about the Blueshift.  Too bad they haven't made it for 2.0 yet.

As far as extensions go ya gotta get All in One Gestures.

There are two "x" on the Mozilla screen:  A grey one at the very top (this closes the Internet) and a red one lower than that - this one closes the current tab.  Or, you can right click and close any tab.

The reason the back button doesn't always work is because you are opening a new window in a new tab.  The new tab is another window, so there is no "back" application, as it is another Internet window, like if you had just opened it.

Hope this helps!

When I saw that you like to mash buttons I had to look and sure enough you were from FL. My x girl friends mother and sister are always mashing something. It just makes me laugh.

A buddy talked me into FF a few months ago. The only things I've found is the bookmark, or favorites, is not as handy to use as IE. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't like having to scroll through a hundred lines to get to the bookmark.
Also, is there a comparable right-click-and-save function for downloads?

seriously though, I think that's the only way to improve the bookmarks.  Has anyone had all the bookmarks disappear before??? talk about a bitch getting them back!

I also just started using Mozilla. So far I like it better than Internet Explorer.
