Can you say "counter-demonstration"?

WTF!@#$?

Tell this Mike guy that he can have his opinion and express it, but don't expect other people to like it.  He wants to protest, which is his right under this government, but if the people that did this get their way, protesting will be illegal and the cops could shoot them for it.

These people need the war more than we do.  They need to feel important by fighting some perceived injustice, using the rights that they wouldn't have if generations before us didn't fight.  They're just bitter that they are allowed to protest the official government position.  They're probably also upset that we don't speak German. You have to ignore these idiots.  The fact they would have an "anti war rally" in light of the fact our country was attacked on its own soil just serves to highlight their stupidity.

Being a hippy is a way of life for these idiots.  It has little to do with politics or a true sense of responsibility, it has more to do with being accepted into their little group of hippy friends... it's hip, cool, and it gets them laid.  For them being a war protester is like wearing baggy jeans or hanging out at the local dance club.  It's a fashion statement.

They're morons and aren't to be taken seriously.

Draft them, cut their hair off, rush them through boot camp, and put them on the front lines.

Then they can see first hand what happens when they decide not to take action.  As if the WTC attack wasn't enough.

Oh well, just a thought.

Draft them, and put them to work on Staten Island, sifting through the rubble, searching for bits of flesh.

I went to Tech from '88 through '92, and can tell you that at that time, we on average were one of the least PC state universities around.  I doubt that has changed too much in the past 10 years.

Even though we on average were non PC, certain small departments (the usual suspects) worked extra hard at attempting to relive/glorify the "'60s spirit".  It seems that they resented the fact that Tech was oriented toward giving students the framework for an actual career, rather than being a socialist recruiting ground.

Don't worry about these people.  If you read the passage on the original post, you can see that this is fairly typical (like the million mom march) in that it is mostly a social event for young liberals.  Most that will attend don't really believe in their convictions as many participate in this type of thing simply because "you are supposed to do this type of thing in college."

Don't sweat it...

Just ignore them and maybe they will go away.

Anyone want to organize a "counter demonstration"?

I'll supply up to 100 balaclavas and baseball bats.

Why are you guys even worried?

This is what... 100 of them? 1000 of them? 2000 of them?!?

wow... compared to the 800 ka-billion in the world that want blood?

Little buzzing flys with no stinger. Theses fag-hats need to go back to woodstock. This isn't veitnam.

I say after we bomb laden we drop a few on theses pot suckers.

I think we are starting to begin to see the effects of all the Clinton socialist crap that has been spoon fed to the younger generation.  They think they should deserve a good job and a good economy just because they are alive.  Clinton didn't fight in a war so why should they?  They care more about drinking beer and playing video games in their dorm room than they do about making sure our country stays strong.  After all the Socialist have promised them a good job and a peaceful world, all they have to do is toe the Socialist line.  They have already been conditioned in the public schools, random locker searches are ok, they are not allowed to fight back even to defend themselves, they cannot posses any weapons including finger nail clippers or tweety bird key chains... and the list goes on.

Unfortunately this is only the beginning and I think it will get a lot worse.  Hopefully the Bush Administration will have a postive effect on those still in school.

I suspect there will be several thousand lefty "peaceniks" protesting in DC this weekend.  I would love to attend a "counterprotest" and lob some rotten fruit at these jerks.

Duh, second amendment GOOD.

Uh, first ammendment BAD.

I suspect that these people are the products / victims of our government indoctrination centers (aka public schools).

As much as I'd like to unleash my wrath upon these [supply your own epithet], I don't deny these people their right to their opinion. I believe in the First Amendment as much as I do the Second.

BUT even as a child, I learned that I shouldn't complain about something unless I was able to offer a better alternative. So what's their alternative?

These people need to learn that their words have real life consequences.

If I went to the WTC site and waived a sign declaring that those killed "had it comming," I may be exercising my 1st amendment rights, but I would also be (justly) subject to an ass kicking or worse.

Likewise, if these "protesters" (protesting what, our right to self-defense?) want to exercise their 1st amendment rights, let them be subject to the consequences of doing so.  I would not suggest that the government take action against them (that would be contrarty to the first amendment), simply that if an enraged mob were to beat the piss out of these fifth columnists, I would not shed any tears about it.

I believe that it is their right to protest.  I also believe that it is their right to do it without fear of "consequences".

If we begin to use loopholes to get around the first ammentment, we cannot complain when our enemies use loopholes to get around the second (like registration).

Oh BS, I also believe it is there right to protest, and then face the consequences (SP) What better way for a coward to hide? They are afried the draft will start again, for my sake, I hope not, I don't want the little pukes. If they get there collective asses kicked, oh well, it very well may not be by other Americans.
