If you're planning on watching with your significant other (and I'm assuming you're hetero[;)]), please realize that 90+% of all porn is directed at men and most women won't find it erotic. Hilariously funny, maybe, but not erotic.
Vivid Video produces more tapes that both men and women can enjoy than pretty much any other of the hundreds of production companies. Some of them suck (in its derogatory, not literal meaning), but most of them are quite good. If you're renting just for your own enjoyment (no comment), then there's something out there for pretty much any taste (or lack thereof). |

[:P] While Vivid Videos are marketed to couples, they often have a weird/stupid factor. Adam & Eve make good couples tapes that won't bore the crap out of you or the wife. But the ALLTIME BEST has to be ANYTHING by Andrew Blake. Slick Calvin Klein style photography with the most stunning women you have ever seen. My wife also finds the male talent much less repulsive than the usual dorks in porn. |

Anyone else been absolutely jaded by this stuff? Last time I rented an adult flick, my wife and I spent most of the time critiquing the technique. "Jeez, look at that. That's not how you XXXXXX. Slower! Slower! You're not trying to pump up a tire with that thing!!!"
Crappy acting, lackluster action and dialog that sounds like it was cut-and-pasted from an X-rated jokebook. Anyone have any recommendations for a good quality flick with great dialog, enthusiastic actors and a plot that cannot be written on the back of a matchbook cover? edited fer spellin' |

BTW, my wife finds Michael Ninn's stuff very erotic. I find it a bit "artsy". Reminds me of the commercial: "Why are foreign films so...foreign?" But the action is unquestionably HOT.
