The 'taliban elite', the ones with the guns, are turning on the citizens, raiding houses.
Other afghanis are running for the border.
Taliban made the same move other tyranical governments do: They disarmed the citizenry to keep them in control.
So the taliban has weapons, but they don't dare let the civies have them because of their fear of reprisal. Some of the taliban are going into 'looting' mode. Those that can are getting out of dodge. Plus there's the opposition force that's fighting the taliban.
I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but if we go into afghanistan, it's not going to be like it was with the russians. There's no superpower backing them up. They're not fighting for their homeland like they did with russia, they're going to be fighting for their tyrants. Some of them don't like their tyrants.
