I've always been proud to be an American, no matter what anyone else thought. Sometimes I've been embarassed by the POS we had as President...but tonight was surely not one of those times.

Me for sure, although it wasn't always that way. A year ago or so, I realized that America has managed to do something that no other nation has done before: start with a vision of a Free land, and then evolve to that point. We haven't always been perfect about it .. sometimes we've been incredibly hypocrittical .. but we've been working on it the whole time, and I think that the United States is only going to get better as time goes on. It's going to be hard, we're going to face a lot of struggle both internally and with totalitarian movements abroad, but every year we get closer to the vision set down by Jefferson and Lincoln. In my mind, that's what counts, and that's what makes me proud of this country. The rest is gravy.
