I wrote this the other night watching my 9 year old play baseball. Perhaps some of you can find use for it.

Lord we pray as our Nation girds itself for battle.
Bless the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ranger Battalions, the SEALS and the Special Forces, the Airborne and the Force Recon and all the soldiers, sailors, and airmen of the Special Operations Command, who may be soon or are already in harms way.

Bless them in their struggle to defend us from the forces which seek our destruction. May Your mighty hand guide them in the fight to stop the evil that today sets it’s hand against us. And may you cradle the souls of those who will fall in battle.

And Lord comfort their families whom they have left at home, as even now, their boys and girls may be at their own baseball or soccer games, playing without the loving gaze of their courageous fathers.

For this we pray.
