...to explain to half of my state WHY we need SUR's and handguns and hi-cap mags.

Some would counter this argement by saying a gun could never stop a plane.

But I explained that these cowards picked a gun free zone where they KNEW no one would be able to stop them.

I explained that these cowards HAD TO BE AWARE of another gun free zone in our communities - OUR SCHOOLS. Logically, our schools will be next.

I also got to say that I'm going to the local college football game - not because I'm a fan of either team, but because I'm an American. And I WILL NOT let these cowards change my life.

The talk show host then asked me if I felt concealed carry should be allowed at the game.

I told him "Yes, absolutely, because studies have shown that those who subject their Constitutional rights to these new unConstitutional laws are PROVEN to be MORE law abiding than the general public at large."

WooooHoooooo!!!!!!!! I'm PUMPED this morning.

I'll never forget the time I called into WBUR's "The Connection", a VERY liberal public radio talk show w/call-in, broadcasting from the People's Republic Of Cambridge, MA, right after Columbine in 1999.

(Anybody remember Columbine, another Criminal Safe Zone a la our airliners?)

I managed to get past their screeners by saying I was going to call about being a parent,a former teacher, etc., so the girl on the other end who spoke in grad student Sunbelt speak, said, "Oh, sure, like, that's really relevant., sure, I'll put you on."

I got on there, and proceeded to tell them about how American schools, poor upbringing by selfish yuppies and moral relativism had contributed to the slaughter and how the liberals were going to employ this as one more bloody shirt to wave at the scared American public in order to continue taking away the right to defend ourselves against rapists, dirtbags and creeps.

The gasps I heard from the tweedy panel of academics and lib thinktank types was audible. You'd think someone had just crapped in their living room on their coffee table book of Robert Mapplethorpe photos. :^)

I was cut off (the mute button, I'm sure...) and the speakers... when they recovered, stammered their way through, "too many guns on the street" "15 kids a day killed BY guns" , bla bla bla...well-programmed....

I later called them up and thanked them for their Stalinist censorship, and said they'd never get a dime of contributions from me again in their pledge drives... then they hung up.

I get on the local talk radio shows often too.  Fortunately the local PM guy after Rush, Chris Baker, is pretty pro-gun.  He's always talking about our rights to defend ourselves and carry guns.  We should invite him to the shoot.

Anyway, congrats on getting the word out.  We should all be doing what we can right now.

God Bless Texas

There are actually two hosts - Russ and Lisa.

Lisa has actually thanked me in the past for my pro-gun stand. Not to be sexist, but she breaks the soccer-mom mold. And yes, fellas, i believe she is married, and does NOT belive in having affairs. [}:D]

Russ wondered if I might be foolish for going to the game anyway. I basically explained it as I did above, and that if God wanted to take me home to heaven,( as I have trusted Christ as my Saviour,) that I was ready. I don't beleive I got the chance to make that point as clearly as I am here.

They are both fairly conservative, so I was well received.

I pick the show up on the way to work, and then call in from work, so I don't know if any wimpering weenies who WANT to be unarmed in front of any terrorists called in to pull a France [}:D]

I got on a pre-FDCGH socialist radio show that was about gun control. I asked the 2 morons what is the definition of "assault weapon" since they were so in favor of banning the guns. The morons gave the standard bs about machineguns like AK47s, uzis, etc. I replied that those were already tightly controlled and not even the guns affected by the ban. When I told them they are obviously making uninformed opinions as fact I got hung up on.
