I know that this is mostly a forum on
ARs,but I found something today and this is the only place I could think of to find out what it is.........
A guy at work is selling a rifle that is in
excellant condition.I know that there is a
date stamp of 1916 and that it is shoots
the British 303.I think he said it was a
Enfield.
When he got it,it was still in factory wrap
and oil.He has shot less that 50 rounds through it........
Any help on this would be great.........

British Enfield MK I ?    Worth maybe 150 to 250 or more if in new condition?  Don't know that much about them except that they were one of the best battle rifles of the time, though others would argue for the Mauser.  I owned one years ago, good shooter, with very little recoil, due to the weight.  Wish I diddn't trade it!
