I put one 3'x5' out in the back yard on a 11' pole. Out front I have a 3'x5' on 15' pole. I've had it out for about 5 days now and still no problem with the Home Owner's Ass. I'll let you guys/gals know if they do say something about it. Oh yah, I also have 10"x14" on each of my 4 cars.

I took the 3x5 I had hanging on the wall in my room and put it outside.

I have my flag out most of the time. I am a little fuzzy on proper procedure, though. I do take it down at night, because it's not lit, and when it is raining. I don't want to do anything dis-respectful, but I want it to fly as much as possible. Would one of you please enlighten me?
thanks wannabe |

Even before last Tuesday I flew the Stars and Stripes. I also fly the Stars and Bars, USMC and POW-MIA.

Check, also loaned one to a neighbor who couldn't find one. So two of the flag's on my street are mine.

Rain, it is ok to fly in the rain, it just might get more worn. If you fly it hanging down, make sure the blue is on the left when looking at it. |

US, Marine Corps and Texas flags. I have a picture of it, but nowhere to host it.

Thank you Yobo and 7... Just called my wife to have her put the flag back up.
Thanks! wannabe |

I have a flag out, have had it out since the day it happened!
|

I was going to buy one this morning but before I got to town my grandmother called and told me that my great aunt had ordered a flag for me from the Daughters of the American Revolution.
I have one on my truck and I been wearing a 3"x 5" embroidery flag that my mom gave me. I have been wearing it since Wednesday. |

My FLAG is out 365 days a year. No matter what is going on in our Country, and I am damn proud of it..........
|
|
I do and have raised mine everyday for two years (as long as I have lived on my own property). What I can't stand is "Where were all of these Patriots on Independence day? Flag day?"
WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR GADSEN FLAGS? I REALLY WANT TO GET ONE! Planerench Out. |
|
I bought a new one the day it happened. Old one was too worn to fly. Glad I bought it after work as I was checking out I told the clerk that they might run out soon. She didn't seem to think so. I went back before they closed and they were out! Haha.
Now time for a "Don't tread on me" flag. |
|
I fly the flag every day, but I took the German flag down (my wife is German) I would like a Gadsen flag, and will get one as soon as I find one.
|
|
I'm flyin my Culpepper Minute Men "Don't Tread on Me"
I just love the Liberty or Death part |

[red]"Don't Tread On Me"[/red] & [red]"Come And Take It"[/red]
And of course the [red]Stars & Bars[/red] ColtShorty GOA KABA COA JPFO SAF NRA "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them." |

Mine's posted outside our front door. My 8 y.o. takes a certain pride in taking the flag down at night. There have been many mornings when I've gotten the opportunity to watch the school kid's at my daughter's school raise the flag. Sometimes those third graders get the rigging a little messed up, and I happily walk over and help them out. Three kids are chosen for the duty, and in three years, I've never seen anyone of them act like it was a chore, they love to do it!

I would be surprised(apalled)why anybody wouldn't. Praise the Lord that our kids still Love "pulling Flag Duty". I am trying to get some Flags and put them up for some old folks who are without. I always fly the Flag. Now Flags are sold out eveywhere. Better late than never I guess. Too many arm chair Americans. Lets hope their newfound Patriotic zeal will last the duration.

I put my flag up 6 years ago when I bought my house. I've had one flying ever since.

Got a 9-1/2 ft x 15 ft up on the roof, the airliners fly right over head and on mon. i heard one call it to a talk show on the radio about it. It appears that his "spirit" was greatlly liffted to see this while flying in these troubled times.

Hung my 3x5 on my house less than two hours after the attack. Got a little one to fly from my car a few days later.
And to all those who may have a problem with our flag or our flag-waving (i.e. - CableVision NY, certain Miami-Dade firefighters, etc.): [-!-] |
|
I have a 3X5 "Old Glory" flying off of a bracket mount hung from my garage during daylight hours. I dont have it lit up so I take it down every evening. Next summer, I will invest in a nice flag pole and a lighting system for a 24hr, 7 days a week flag(just bought the house last month).

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't owned one. My wife couldn't find one anywhere so she is sewing a 3'X5', by hand just so we can have one on display. I call her Betsy now. This evening I will paint one on a sheet of plywood till I can get a store bought flag.
They sure are purdy aint they? |

I have several flags. My father and brother were both in the Navy and many other relatives were in some branch. We can't (and wouldn't want to) fly the flags that were on my father's and brothers caskets when they died, but I have one that was given to my brother that is as big as my queen sized waterbed. It's one heck of a flag! Sorry about the glares, light, and wind inconsistencies.
sometimes I have trouble posting pics here (my fault) so here's a link to my briefcase.: [url]http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/jlp1978/lst?&.dir=/My+Flags&.src=bc&.view=t&.begin=1&.order=&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/jlp1978/lst%3f%26.dir=/My%2bFlags%26.src=bc%26.view=t[/url] |

My husband and I took ours off the wall on the 12 of September and mounted it outside. It has been flying ever since. There was only one other flag on my street when my husband and I hung ours. Now there are 5. My neighbor even converted the post that his basket ball hoop had ocupied before the 12th into a flag pole a few hours after we hung ours.
|
|
Flag is up and out 365 days a year. The rest of the street is pretty bare, but at my end of the street, within 6 houses, you'll find 4 flags flying, every single day. One relatively new neighbor at the other end of the street has one, but it's in pretty bad shape. I may have to go kick his ass.....and then give him a new one, with a stern admonishment NOT to do it again.

|
Mine is.
Now in our neighborhood others have sprung up. Size is 3x5. |
|
Purchased a 20' flag pole 9/1 at state fair. It was delivered 9/12. Flag went up Sunday and will be up year round. That was the plan on 9/1 when we purchased it.
