Don't trust it.  They'll throw in an occasional .222 round just to screw up your rifle.

That's $3.25/box of 20, isn't bad, but unfortunately they don't have anymore.

They are closing out the stock at my local Wallymart. The going rate is $1.75 for a box of 20. I bought three boxes last week. Should I buy more?
Not really.

I looked at 2 Wal-marts and 2 Academy Sports in the last 7 days...No Winchester .223 to be found..but there's a ton of Monarch at near $6 for a box of 20.

I haven't seen any at Wal-Mart or any other discount store in 6 months. I'm sitting on my stockpile and reloading feverishly.

At a gun store,  I saw about 500 rounds of old stock PMC for 4.95 per box, I'm thinking about buying it .

Man.. It's been a long .223 dry spell..

seems even dryer than 7.62x39..

No wonder there are so many newbie reloading question in the reloading forum..

They had Federal 50gr JHPs there when I checked tonight.  $52.94 for 200rds, that comes out to about $5.30 per box.  Not exactly a good price.

They've had a couple of boxes of the 40 grn JHP for a while at mine, but I haven't shot any yet and I'm not going to buy stuff that doesn't shoot in my rifles.  That said, it might be a nice source of some once fired brass.

I really liked the way the 55grn stuff shot. And I got a bunch of that in my zombie supplies.

I got 10 boxes when it was at this price months ago.  I called about the same stuff the other day, and they said they still carry it, just none in stock.

Oh, by the way, they said they are $14 and change now.

They went from the $7.98 to around $9.98 then vanished.  I scoured every Wal Mart I could find for the 40 round packs and got lucky a time or 2.  The last 2 boxes I bought were $3 or $4 each.  I went in one store and bought all they had, around 400 - 500 rounds.  It's great ammo and that was a good price as they hadn't marked it up to $10 yet.

I usually see Remington 55 gr for $4-5 a box.  It shoots fine in my AR as well, I just like the Israeli better.

I haven't been to a Walmart that sells ammo since the summer, but they were $9.98 for the 40 round pack of 55 gr.

The only malfunction I've had in my AR was due to WWB. My bolt got stucker than shit, luckily I run a tac latch that I had to stomp on to clear the jam. Do I still shoot it? Hell yes. Have I seen it lately at walmart? Hell no.

Oh my dealer has about 30boxes of it on the shelf alone.....but like I said, its fuckin $7/box plus tax!

I'll shoot the shit out of Federal AE all day long at $4.99/box....screw WWB.

I paid around $14 for UMC 50 gr. hollowpoint, 40 round varmint pack. I needed some varmint rounds and area Walmarts were all out of the WWB varmint packs. So far the UMC has been a pleasant surprise. This is some of the stuff made in Arkansas.
