Can't seem to get a straight answer out of the fast talking teenager in the store....

do the old XBOX games play on the new 360?
Do you have to download anything off of the internet to be able to play the older games?

many games are backward compatible. Not all.

There are downloads over xbox live that (i believe) update the BC list. I dont play older games much.

Answer Yes and No.  Some do, some don't. Complete list so far:

2.) Do you have to download anything off of the internet to be able to play the older games?
If you are not connected to internet and Xbox Live, then go here for a way to put the update on a disc:
