Did you happen to see the links to pictures at the end of the page. Naturally, he/she would blame that on the NRA & the evil guns. I'm sure that 12 gauge just jumped up of its own accord & did that. |

Jeez, I really wish they'd try to make an argument other than the old "emotion play". "Ohhhh somebody did this with a bad gun, it's the guns fault the person doesn't know what they're doing, and the gun guys don't care that ABCXYZ people/children die EVERY minute/hour/day/week/year from bad guns and we can't trust people because they're all evil blah blah blah blah!" And the owner of that website was talking about "paranoid fears", jeez.
Oh wait, of course they can't make a sensible argument, there are none they could use! |

My Review:
Emotional Arguements Almost no facts are cited or footnoted Some text reeks of being a total fabrication Some photos strongly appear to be doctored This site appears to be total bullshit and should be dismissed as such. Is rather amusing though.... Anyone notice how the Radio Free Monterey logo looks suspiciously like a pot leaf? Oh yeah: Says at the bottom - "I'm not a commie" Name of site: REDshift background color of site: RED You connect the dots... |

From the site, highlighted, bold and italized:
the subject always goes first in the sentence! Not only is this false, the site has several examples of not "having the subject going first in the sentence." And the site is so full of run on sentences and other bad grammar, this guy wouldn't know a split infinitive even if he had been hit by one before. (a cookie to the forum member who gets the that joke) Examples where he didn't have the subject first: * "For a select group of Americans this site invokes strong emotion." (subject=site) * "Less than one generation ago, family and culture were not much different" (subject=family and culture) * It was eighteen years ago I was in high school myself. (subject=I) * "Then, to my shocking discovery on December 22nd of 1992, my sister's 19 year old distraught ex- boyfriend, took his father's .38 caliber handgun" (subject=ex- boyfriend [sic]) But that's only the beginning. Note: Florida and Texas have populations roughly 1/2 that of Kali. Kali has 21 shooting sprees not including the half dozen in recent months. But, Florida and Texas had 7 and 6 respectively. Double those numbers to compensate for population and you get 14 and 12 or about 2/3 the numbers seen in Kali. How about Vermont multiply 1 shooting by 10x the population and you get 10, less than Texas' 12. now who has the least restrictive Gun Laws. Who allows Concealed Carry w/o a license. Texas had only 12 if had the same population as Kali. and Vermont only 10, yet with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation (100+ pages) Kali. had 21. Now lets compare Gunowners in Kali to Gunowners in Texas, Florida, and Vermont. There are definitely less gunowners in Kali. than in Texas. If Texas had twice (a conservative estimate) as many gunowners as Kali., then Texas would have 1/7th the shootings of Kali. Make that a more reasonable 5x and it comes out to 1/20th or 95% less shootings.
