My boss cut me a good deal if I work on News Years. He is going log me in for double time and pay me for the day before and the day after New Years. So it's like getting four days of pay for working one. Life is Suh Sweeeeettttttt.

i'll be going to a night club in the city with the wife and a couple friends. it was her idea, as i would rather have a few friends over to the house and drink a little bit. it is a lot cheaper that way and i just don't do clubs much anymore.

one of the friends going is pregnant so she will be the automatic DD

At least this year I get off at 6am. Past few years my shift ended at 2am. Drunken NASCAR is bad enough on the weekends, but New Years at 2am was horrible! Lots of carnage. And sobriety checks.

The wife and I were gonna go out last night, Sat. We never made it out.

If the wind dies down, tonight a Bears game on TV , with a bonfire. And steak. Ect.

Nice quiet night at home. Except for the farmers firing off fireworks and whatever else they can think of.

Party at my place with a few friends. I've been cooking / baking since 8 a.m.

Got some wine, beer, the hard stuff (Scotch for me), and Ginger Ale (for the DDs) on hand.

Should be good times and now I'll have 2 days to recover. I think my neighbors are gone, too! That doesn't matter so much, though, because we're just a bunch of nerds who probably won't cause too much of a ruckus.

Sea Scallops with a garlic cream/white sauce
Pan Seared Venison Chops with a Mango Salsa
Fresh Baked 12 grain dinner rolls
Vegetable Medley

Been prepping and posting on ARFCOM all day.

Looks like I'll be hanging out at the house. I haven't seen a plow since it started snowing on friday. It's knee deep in the street in front of my house. That's o.k. I have plenty of beer, homemade wine and a bottle of crown.
