Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Check Cashing Question - ? National Clearinghouse ?

Is there something like a 'National Clearinghouse' that I can call to see if a check that I wrote has been cashed?

Or is the only way to find out to call my bank where the check was drawn?

Only details I care to share is that this has absolutely nothing to do with any ARFOCM vendor or member.
