This is an amazing book telling the story of a Army SF A-Team doing the impossible, written by an actual operator. I was beginning to become bored with books, I tried reading Into the Wild and The Kite Runner, but I didn't get very interested in either. Roughneck Nine-One really took me by surprise. It's a great read.

I'm not really sure, I just never got into them. They seemed kind of bland and I couldn't bring myself to read more than a few pages. Maybe I'm just shallow.

Try Kite Runner again if you get a chance, I thought it was the best book I've read in the last year or so.

I'm about halfway through Roughneck 9-1 right now. Honestly the author comes off as more of the loudmouth seal stereotype than the quiet introverted Special forces type. I get the impression him and Dick Marcinko would get along great. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it. Just the impression I got.

I got that impression at first, but I think the guy is just a straight-shooter and tells it like it is. I thought it was a very good book. If you're only half-way through, you haven't gotten to the good part yet.

James C. Donahue's Blackjack-33, Blackjack-34 and Mobile Guerilla Force are also outstanding.
