Bush: 'When I take action I’m not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt. It’s going to be decisive.'

I heard a good one a couple of days ago but I dont know who said it. They said, "When we attack them may GOD have mercy on their souls because we wont!" I thought that was pretty cool.

That is an excellent quote--too bad he hasn't been able say something as great as that when the cameras are rolling.....

He has been less then inspiring.

I like the guy very much but he just isn't a great public speaker.

I have confidence he will lead us well.

Thanks alot M1A-A1, that makes the quote worth more knowing it came from a real American war hero! He must know what hell is like being a POW for all those years!

I disagree, I think he has been a very inspiring speaker, both at the WTC and at the memorial service.

Don't forget, he still a socialist pawn that want to take away your freedom of speech and restrict your right to self defense.

I missed both of those events. I'm not cracking on him but I guess I'm looking for a Regeanesque type speech or sound bite to soothe me right now. Back in the 80's I knew everything would be ok with Ronnie just by the way he spoke. I do have a very large warm fuzzy for my man G.W. but long for a better orator.

I can only hope you're being facetious. If you are, it was a very effective jab at the pointy-head crowd.
If not...well, let's just say I will I am going to act as if you were.

I'm glad we're not "blessed" with a lincoln!! He was a tyrant!

I have the confidence in W. to lead us as well as Reagan. It is just that Reagan was such a great orator. And George W. is like me, anything BUT an orator.

Oops, grabbed the wrong quote in the post above.  I was talking about McCain, NOT Bush.

Can't say I agree with everything Bush has done, but I like the way he is dealing with this stuff now.

I think Matt_S may have been slightly axaggerating about that one, but he makes very good points.

John McCain was Co-Sponser to Campaign Finance Reform, an anethma to the first amendment.  He also has joined up with the trial lawyers and National Health Care fans in writing a Patient's Bill of Rights.  He has also been no friend to the 2nd amandment lately, by sponsering at least 2 gun control measures.  One was with Frank Lautenberg I believe.

I think John McCain was a great man and did great things during the Vietnam War, I just think he is beginning to lean left while in government.  As long as he stays truely conservative, and supports this president, I have no problem with him.

Bush is proving to be a leader rather than being a talker.  Not bad for a guy that has been in office for 7 months.

Would you rather hear him stand up with a tear in his eye and say "I feel your pain" while bombing an aspirin factory or get the job done?

Could you imagine if Klinto was still here? He'd not only feel our pain, he'd have sent Sec State Madeline Albright go over to Afghanistan and make some cookies for the Taliban and perhaps do a dance for them.

I know this ain't the place to tell you this but,
John McCain was/is a scumbag and a traitor.
I will edit this reply to post the link to his history.

I am not disagreeing with you, however this is not the time nor the place.  I just wanted to avoid some Veteran vs. Non-Veteran squabbles.

Some people see J mc C as a hero, others as a politician.  I would prefer to see him as a hero while we are at war instead of tearing each other down, and later we can argue about his lame politics.

I'm glad somebody said that. I've been questioning my sanity for hours now - I saw them interviewing Chuck Schumer on CNN and I actually didn't feel the need to vomit. I guess, for now, we ARE on the same side. I mean, he even praised the leadership of President Bush!

OK, I am shuddering now.
