...now that we are at WAR---on our own turf.

What do you recommend the average American have on hand to deal with a potential disaster as we have just been FORCED into?

Refresh our memories about water supplies; food; medical supplies; guns and ammo(# of rounds); etc.

Here's a list of immediate priorities, and the amount of time you live without them:
Air: 3 min.
Shelter 3 hrs.
Water: 3 days
food: 3 weeks
Of course, there is physical security, which can be an instantaneous event.  There are other needs, later on.
Of course, the best way to survive a disaster is to be somewhere else at the time.  I highly commend that concept to you.
