All-time: The Simpsons or Archie Bunker
Up and coming: The Office (non-limey vers.) |

The Andy Griffith Show
There are plenty of other great ones, but they all pale in comparison... |
|
1.Steptoe and Son (Originator of Sanford and Son)
2.Black Adder 3.Married with Children |
|
Married with Children
Simpsons Malcolm in the Middle (in no particular order) |
|
1. King of Queens.....................no doubt about it
2. Seinfeld, of course.......... |
|
All in the Family (Archie Bunker)
Married with Children (Al Bundy) |
|
There is a sitcom other than Seinfeld? It owns all time, no exceptions.
Also King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond |
|
All in the Family, without a doubt the best TV show ever (sit-com or otherwise) |
|
Why the massive hardon for Seinfeld? It was OK, but jeez....
|
|
1. Seinfeld
2. King of the Hill -tye- Andy Griffith 3. Boston Legal, if you can get past some of the lib storylines. William Shatner makes up for the lib shit. Funniest current show on tv IMO. |

Dunno. Thing is about Seinfeld, it might have well been called "Zeitgeist"... I LOVED the show when it was on. Now, I can't watch a single minute without flipping the channel. It actually bugs me. I like good comedies - the Office and My name is Earl are pretty solid. But the only sitcom show I have on DVD is News Radio. The "Kuzizza, y'all!" episode may well be the hardest I have ever laughed at something on television. Edit: So my vote is for News Radio. |

Married With Children:
National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Mastery Psycho Dad Women, cant live with them, cant shoot 'em. Al Bundy was the MAN!!! (my wife HATES that show LOL) |
|
yes.. although i liked the show, not the biggest fan... but this is prolly the best classic sitcom of all time.. still like the beverly hillbillies better.. ellie mae and her critters and the cement pond... |

MASH
Frazier is up near the top as well. I always thought Seinfeld was just ok. |

mash was such an anti war anti military pile of crap spun off of the anti vietnam era sentiment with alan alda, a raving anti-milophob.. i wonder why anyone on this site would admit even watching it... |

What? No love for Hogan's Hero's? The same bit, over and over again. Hilarious!
How about WKRP in Cincinnati? Les Nessman throwing turkeys out of a helicopter? Oh the humanity! Johnny Fever hiding from the phone cops? Gold. Pure gold. |

anyone who wrote friends needs to turn in their
I was gonna say seinfeld, but after reading this thread, I have to admit, most episodes of Malcolm in the Middle had me howling by the end. I'd forgotten all about that show.... and yeah married with children I grew up with as a kid, whole family would watch it together. simpsons is hit or miss, and not equal to its predecessor - time slot and idea-wise -married with children. so seinfeld married with children malcom in the middle and I cannot forget It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, that show also had me cracking up EVERY episode. |
|
I'd also say Andy Griffith show, although Seinfeld would be second
|

The Brady Bunch
Just Kiddin' Toss up between Taxi and Cheers. Both had lovable characters that I could relate to. I will admit, I was pretty bummed out when both shows ended, can't explain why |

"Married with Children" is a classic, but "My Name Is Earl" has to be the best and most original of the current sitcoms.
