Can you confirm this? Please let us know if you have had any bad experiences with AOL related to this topic. Is there anybody whose homepage was deleted or does anybody know of such kind of incidents?

Thank you

Myar,
The rumor you hear is probably true. AOL has been widely known to be ANTI-GUN. They even fired a few people for having firearms in there cars, legally. Take it for what its worth, I plan on dropping AOL as soon as I can afford cable.

Private Joker, don't wait for cable.  I dropped AOL (and told them why:their anti gun attitude).  Get Earthlink.  I did.  Love it.  They did fire 3 employees in Utah for having hunting rifles in their trunk in a SHARED parking lot, not their property.  They are being sued by the 3 employees.

My site is still there http://members.aol.com/bishop042/guns.html
What AOL most probably did was to remove all sites that were trying to sell guns.  You can't sell anything on their FREE web space.
I have seen posts like this pop up every once in a while for over a year now and my site, which has been here for almost 2 years, has never had a problem, and I have never had any e-mail from AOL about my site...

I use AOL now but only because my new computer came with a free year of unlimited use. As soon as the year is up, I'm gone. The service SUCKS, as does the browser & everything that comes with it. It is so stupid you have to cut & paste on 6.0 just to put something in your favorites!

Since cars kill and maim many more folks than guns do, I don't suppose Antigunners On-Line will be pulling the plug on automobile sales sites next......

Hey AOL users.
I am on my brothers computer right now (AOL), and for some reason I can't pull up keepandbeararms.com, or shooters.com-

Is this an AOL thing?-

Somebody please try it, and tell me if it's just me, or AOL.

The rumour as i've heard it is that AOL blocks all "violent" web pages under it's kid-proofing bit -- that is, it censors out pornography, "howtobuildamolotovcocktail.com," "killyourteachers.com," etc. Apparently it's largely done by an automated script/bot, which has a nasty side effect of banning a lot of firearms-related sites because it thinks they're "violent."

At least, from what I hear. If that's the case, then I'm sure AOL isn't exactly moving out the Rapid Response Rangers to fix the problem.

I have AOL but minimize it and then click on internet explorer. You are still connected and still can use AR.com

I will never go to the 6.0 verson. I saw it once and thought that it was the MOST stupid thing that I have ever seen.
I also have gun links on my site (which have to be updated now) I even maxed out my free space so I created other names just so I could have more space, which some of my other pages go to...
I want to get a new ISP but a free one, but I hate to lose my web site.
