After all the brouhaha over the filming of jubilant Palestinian, Egyptian, and Lebanese crowds celebrating the terrorist attack on the United States, the Palestinian Authority called in one of the AP camerman and informed him that should the AP decide to exhibit his film footage, they could not guarantee his personal safety.

Well the message was well understood by the AP and the footage was not shown, at least for now.

Now that we are entering a period of "war", the art of propaganda will be displayed in its full glory.  Actually I look forward to this because most of the American people have never been so exposed to mass-media and instantaneous communication.  In fact, they are more jaded than ever.  It will take masterful work on the part of the propagandists to whip this country into a frenzy where we will stop at nothing less than turning the Tigris and Euphrates into broad ribbons of blood.

Readers of this post might suggest that CNN, Fox News, et. al. are already stoking the fires for retaliation but for much of the population west of the Alleghenies, life will return to normal and energies are directed elsewhere.  Will the media serve as the accomplices of the propagandists or will they question the "spin"?

Stay tuned because the master communicators are ready to take the stage.  It's gonna be a helluva ride!
