Former head of DOT Mary Schiavo is oon the O'Reily Factor saying that the airlines are going to restrict carryons. As in none, except for meds and wallets. No Computers, no backpacks,ect...
Well, here we are, seeing more rights get restricted due to some a-holes.
I guess I will just not fly any more. Never flew much to begin with.

If 1 out of every 10 person carried a pocket knife, blunt weapon, firearm, or laptop...most domestic terrorist hijackings would most likely stop in their tracks.  Terrorists used to need guns and bombs to get their deeds done, but now due to "personal security measures" they can invade the non-protected cockpit, man the pilot position, and hold 100's of unarmed passengers hostage with a fucking machete.

Can you say Counter Productive??

We've declared war on Communism, and yet we're already a Socialist nation whom we've vowed to oppose.  Hypocrites and Ignorance galore.

Hate to break it to you, but planes are private property & airlines are private sector businesses.  They can restrict whatever they want.  In fact, in legal terms they are "common carriers" much like bus lines & train co's.  This means they have a greater duty to you, the public, as a passenger; & they have a higher standard they must adhere to.  If they want to ban laptops it's their prerogative.
What I don't understand is why planes don't have CC cameras from cockpit to cabin.  Pilots could depressurize the cabin, then one goes back w/ his oxygen and disarms/tazers, stabs/beats/cuffs the knocked out bad guys while other pilot drops them to altitude to make sure the passengers will live.
