One of my favorite movies just became public domain, but every time I click the button to download the torrent, nothing happens. It just shows me the little waiting/loading emblem for a few seconds, then nothing.

Gotta get a BT client, I recommend Utorrent, then open the .torrent file with it and select a place to save.

There's been a lot of threads popping up lately on what BitTorrent client is best...

I personally use Azureus, but there are numerous options.

The original Night of the Living Dead. I heard it was public domain.

ETA: That's not incorrect, is it?

This may come as a shock to you, but I'd say the sharp majority of Torrents people download are illegally obtained.

I must not know how to use this thing, because it's not downloading anything from the url and when I click the "download torrent" button it still just sits there.

The link has to be opened in the BitTorrent client, or when you click the link it has to refer to said BT Client.

Try hard. Very hard, Fire some synapses. Go go go!

I've BEEN trying to open it in the client. This thing didn't come with instructions (it assumes you know what you're doing already), everything I try DOESN'T download from websites, and clicking the download button the fucking torrent site does jack diddly shit. I just want some simple fucking instructions on how to start downloading and it's not doing anything.

ETA: Okay, apparently my network just blocks all peer-to-peer shit. This simplifies this. I'll just have to wait until I'm off campus to see NotLD then.

That's the site I was trying to download from.

Like I said, apparently my campus blocks p2p, so I'll have to wait until I'm off campus to download it.
