We had a little get together this weekend, I'd say about 30 people or so showed up.
We had all sort of NFA toys there. A lot of suppressors, submachine guns, and of course some PKM machine guns. (You read correctly, plural. There were 3)
There was also a brief course on the MP5, taught by a certified HK armorer.
All in all, it was a blast. I'm glad we've got this website, so poor people like me can mooch off guys that have all sorts of fun toys that we can't afford. Good times!

atomicferret with his garand. PING!

pvtpyle with his m79.    BLOOP!

Atomicferret again, this time with FBMG's mp5. It was having a few problems, but still a hoot.

Yours truly, smashing my face against the gun for some reason.

VIDEO.
pvtpyle putting 250 rounds through the PK. The police showed up not long after this. Seriously, they did.

I had a great time and everyone was safe.

Just after I left, I passed about 3 different Utah County Sheriff's in trucks going south towards the shoot.  I figured they were headed up to talk to whoever was still there.  What did they say?

Are there more photos from the shoot today?  I saw a few different people with cameras taking pics all day long.  Would be great to see some more.

They sent one guy up to talk to us (the rest had not gotten there yet) and he came up, saw the tent and the FBMG shirts and ask one guy who was in charge. I was loading the trailer and they pointed at Larry. He ask if we had any machineguns and Larry showed him. You should have seen the look on his face. Anyway, he said they got a call from the nearby housing developement of machinegun fire and dispatch sent him down. But when he saw the tent and shirts he figured it was a legit deal. They talked shop for a few minutes and he said next time we would be out shooting just to give the office a call and let them know so they would not have to send someone all the way out there for nothing. But he was very keen on the store and said he and some of the other guys would drop by. He did not even ask to see the paperwork.

All in all a very positive encounter, and maybe a new customer.

And thanks to Chris for bringing out the steel targets. Next time if you need help let us know and we can get you some help to load them up. And call me at the shop on Tuesday please, when you get a chance. I need to run something by you.

I will catch it next year.  The move is still set for 8/07.

We will be up in SLC the 1st week of December to start the house hunting.  I will try to stop by the shop.

Arfcom shoots are probably the most fun and the most under appreciated part of the board.  I have a hard time understanding why so many never attend a single shoot.

I am getting my gear ready today for the trip to the Hun Farm next week.
