Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - My video card is on the fritz, help please

I'm pretty sure it's the video card atleast.

I turn on the computer today to find all the pics on the internet to be very fuzzy, and Counterstrike has holes everywhere. What's up with that. How am I soppose to save the hostages when I can't see them?! THE TERRISTS ARE WINNING AS I TYPE THIS!

The side panel for the tower was taken off because it was over heating, and I did have a empty beer bottle fall down and hit the video card...and the computer froze...that could be it.

Check for lint, hair ect, on or around your fan. Sounds like its getting hot.

Yeah, there's quite a bit of dust on the fan. I just picked up some compressed air in a can at WallyWorld.
