Who is he running against?

He's running against Sherrod Brown, commie left wing socialist Sherrod Brown. Lesser of two evils here. I was going to sit out the vote for these two BUT since the democrats have proclaimed themselves the winners I'm gonna vote republican.

Dwine is as big of a crook as Taft. S.Brown is the better of the two to have in the Job.

The NRA rated DeWine an "F", and Brown a "D+".

Hopefully we can stick a fork in another RINO.

While I don't live in Ohio, Deswine is nothing but a democrat using a R in front of his name. If he goes, in several years they might be able to get a better candidate to run. It's not like Deswine would vote any different then Brown, especially on gun matters. He was a total ass actually, would have made a great mate for fineswine in Kali.

Dewhine did vote for (IIRC) Bush's SCOTUS nominees.

Would Brown do that?

DeSwine forgot rule number one in politics...Dance with the fella that took ya to the dance.

Sheriff who had just got elected told me that one. Guy had been a deputy and policeman for years. He ran and got elected Sheriff of his county. He is still Sheriff 15 years later.

Buh Bye Mikey.

I don't vote in Ohio, but overall, I am furious with the GOP showing lately

I will still vote party lines since overall it serves my interests (pro-gun, lower taxes, etc) to have the GOP in the majority

But the spending like drunken sailors, bribery scandals, general BS with the way they handled immigration a dozen other areas I thought they would shine- has me wondering where our next real leader is.

Romney? Doubt it

McCain? No way

Gingrich? don't see it happening

Frist? No way.

Then I start to consider the alternatives, and I get sick to my stomach.

NO! but Mikey was not with us 2a wise 100% of the time. He was with the republican party only about 50% of the time.

Mike DeSwine was a libtard douchebag that had an R after his name. He was a liar and a scum.

Buh Bye Mike

ETA: Hmmm I am using him in the past tense....Yeah he's done

Probably not, but I doubt that Bush is going to have a chance to get another one in anyhow. Deswine really crapped on the Ohio Gents if I remember correctly when they were pushing CCW and he hates EBRs. If he goes, it will be his fault, he was a two faced lil tard.

Damn I wish Strickland had run for Senate rather than Govenor. He is staunch 2a even more than Blackwell. I voted Blackwell though.

Buh Bye Mike.

What I don't get though is how people on here can turn around then and vote for Brown?

A vote for Brown is a vote for Chuckles Schumer in charge.

Wasn't dewine one of those turncoats who stopped Frist from going "nuclear" on the Dems over fillibusters?  If so, he deserves to lose.

Maybe because its time for the purge of these RINOs that have held the party hostage for 6 years.

I'm not voting for either person running for Senate. I can't vote for either one of these assholes. Brown won't be any better but he CAN'T be any worse. I voted write in for Charleton Hesston by absentee ballot.

Buh Bye DeSwine.

I live here in OHIO. And its not so much the Dewine vs Brown race. It's the Gov. race thats going to make or break this state. Yes i said those bad words "Make or Break" Both are gun friendly, Strickland and Blackwell, Its hard for me to say thay im going to support the Dem's. But at this point, thats what i'm thinking. Plus Strickland has dropped hints about our Lake Erie fishing trouble with the net's. So im throwning my vote that way. And getting Dewine out of ohio should be everybodys first choice. We can deal Brown later.
