I have to say, when ever I see pics of our troops wearing body armor, hydration packs, Molle pouches all over the place, I think "Damn, they seem immobile".

I've heard Marines were objecting to mandatory body armor usage because they are so emcumbered.

not to disparage revolvers, as I like my 1875 reproduction and will eventually get a modern .357 and probably a .44 at some point, but they don't really go with the other gear

I THINK, but am not certain, the Germany's GSG-9 elite anti-terror/border unit used revolvers against the Mogadishu hijackers (despite having access to advanced automatics).
