A datsun ehhh??? Hey you never know, its probably faster, but i think 11.90s on street tires, without spray is pretty darn good considering I drive it a few days a week and drive it the 40 miles to the track.

My bro has a Volvo sedan with a Corvette LT1 and 5-speed he bought from a psycho in Florida. His previous Volvo had a Ford 5.0 HO. The other day he smoked a 911 off the line, but of course, couldn't keep up on the top end. Talk about a sleeper.

flashooter,

I was just kidding of course. [:D]

However, Datsun/Nissan vehicles are not necessarily "whimp vehicles"

Enjoy your stang...

Sweet 'Stang, flashooter!
I also have an '89 Notch, Black with a GT body kit, '92 SE wing, '99 GT 17" wheels, '95 brakes, Plenty of engine and suspension bolt-ons, etc. etc. etc.
There's no end to the stuff you can do to these cars!
I haven't driven mine much since I got a new truck almost a month ago, but I've still got it.[:)]

do you any idea what type of seat your going with? if i recall right now that your car is breaking into the 11's you need a bar set-up ( which you have) but i also think you might need a harness belt rig for the track once you reach the mid or low 11's times.

NYshooter:  if you look close there is a 5 point RJS harness in the car...kinda hard to see in some of the pics. I do want t get some corbau(sp??)seats for it...but at about 250 bucks each, there are a few more pressing items on the list first.

Well as for the homemade overflow...The rules only say it must be at least 1 or 2 quarts...never says anything about make. I really only stuck it on there last minute because there was nothing at all there. As for the rubber..I guess you are talking about the pedals??  Hmm actually Im not sure about that one...never actually had the guy stick his nose in there. I do run at a NHRA track (Moroso motorsports park in W.P.B. Fla) but they seem to be a little lax in their inspecting. I built the car to race it at the track so I did spend a bunch of time trying to meet NHRA requirments. There are a couple small things I havent got to yet but my biggest illegal thing now is no scattersheild in case the clutch blows up. But I have been able to sneek by so far.

sorry for over looking the interior pics. now i see your harness set-up. i'm glad to see someone keeping stang racing alive. i have a 98 cobra, but still don't have the balls to wrench on this new 4.6 motor. love the car just wish they kept the 5.0 alive.

no shield? you really do like to drive on the dangerous side. all kidding aside, that should be the next thing you buy. a blown up trans or clutch can cripple you if it goes threw the floor boards. don't wait thats a must have.
